Rice Pudding

Ingredients:


1 1/2 cups rice
1 liter milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 can condensed milk
1 cinnammon stick
1 teaspoon white vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 ounces raisins for garnish
Powdered cinnammon for garnish

Ingredients substitutions:


Vanilla can be substituted with almond extract.

Steps:


1. Boil 1 1/2 liters of water on low and add rice.
2. Cook for 20 minutes.
3. Drain rice when cooked and return to same pot.
4. Add milk, sugar, condensed milk, cinnammon, vanilla and salt.
5. Cover and cook for 20 to 25 minutes.
6. Remove from heat and serve in dessert bowls when warm.
7. Garnish each bowl with raisins and sprinkle powdered cinnamon.

Additional notes:

When rice pudding is warm, you can add 4 teaspooons of Grand Marnier orange liquor.
Condensed milk can also be added when rice pudding is done if preferred.
